Zurab Kheladze

Zurab Kheladze-MD.PHD.Professor, President of Academy In 1975 year finished Tbilisi State Medical Institute with honors. From the same year began working in the same institute in Anesthesiology - Reanimatology department first as Ordinator, Assistant, Docent, Professor and then as head of department. At the same time was working on the same department in Reanimatology problematic laboratory as junior, elder, and then as main leading employ as chief of laboratory. From 2006 works in Tbilisi State Medical University on Critical Care Medicine department as Professor head of department. Form 1994 year held position of director of Critical Care Medicine Institute. Was head of Critical Care Medicine department at Central Clinical Hospital. Editorial board member at National Medical Center named by Academician O.Gudushauri and head of Reanimatology department at Antisepsis Center named by Academician V.Bochorishvili. Candidate dissertation was protected in 1983 year, doctor degree was protected in 1990 year. Holds docent and professor scientific-teacher rank. During years was Reanimatology commission member in USSR Academy of Medical Science. From 2000 year till today is main specialist, expert, director of residence state program, doctor certification examination commission chairman and quality awards specialized scientific board chairman in critical care medicine at Ministry of Labors, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Has internship in Moscow first and second medical institute, in Kiev Medical Institute, USSR general Reanimatology medical research institute, Rome ant catastrophe center, Kairo University, New-York Montefiore Medical Corporation. Is a member of The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine, The World Federation of Societies of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine as well as a member of world alliance against Sepsis “Global Alliance against Sepsis”. Is author of more than 350 scientific works, has published 3 guidelines, 5 monographs and defended 30 patents. Under his guidance has been prepared 12 candidate and doctor dissertations. Is redactor of Journal “Critical Care & Catastrophe Medicine” head of annual conference “New Steps in Critical Care Medicine”. He participated in Tbilisi,s Nine April tragedy, Spitak and Racha-Lechkhumi earthquake results liquidation in providing medical aide during defending Georgian territory integrity.

He is also guiding students and residents’ study process and managing scientific activities at Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute. He is taking part in publishing the journal “Critical Care & Catastrophe Medicine” and managing scientific symposium “New Steps in Critical Care Medicine”. He manages international activities at Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute. He is guiding yang medical doctors’ training process in Georgian Association of Catastrophe and Critical Care Medicine in his capacity of Vice - President. He is invited professor at Tbilisi State Medical University for managing studding process of English language groups in Critical Care Medicine field as well as delivering lectures and preceding the seminars. He has published more than 80 scientific works, guidelines and monographs; he also made several patents in the Critical Care medicine area. He took part in the work of more than 8 international symposia in Critical Care Medicine field. He has prepared two Doctor of Philosophy academic degrees in Medicine. He is a member of Dissertation Board of Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute. He has visited USA with studying courses in the following medical facilities: USF Medicine International, The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the University of Washington USA.

At the same time she is Full Professor of the Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute. She gives lectures and leads seminars on Critical Care Medicine studies. She also leads educational process for students and residency in Critical Care Medicine. She participates in scientific works of the Institute. Is an author of more than 15 scientific works. She also is a participant and reporter of 6 international scientific symposium. She has prepared two doctor of Philosophy academic degree in Medicine. She has three children.

MD) 2013– -Till today- Associate Professor of Critical Care Medicine Institute 2012–-Till today - Head of Cardiology Service of Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute Specialization: Cardiologist She works at Georgian Critical Care Medicine Institute; She is the Head of Cardiology Service, where she directs the process of treatment of patients in Cardiology profile. In addition, she is the Associate Professor of the same Institute. She delivers lectures and conducts seminar classes in Cardiology; she takes part in the scientific work of the Institute. She is the author of over 10 scientific papers. Furthermore, she is the participant and reporter of 5 International Scientific Symposiums. She has two children.
